Michigan Pet Photography

I’ve had animals all my life: dogs, cats, horses, tortoises, box turtles, aquatic turtles, rabbits, piranhas, and yes, hamsters.  And my kids had geckos and a toad and fish.  I go to the zoo often, to get pictures.  It’s a great place to shoot animals, LOL.  More pictures of animals are on the way with our Michigan Pet Photography service!  I have seagulls aplenty.  If there’s one thing we have a lot of around the Great Lakes, its seagulls.  I saw sea lions in Oregon while staying with my cousin, Cara.  They were pretty funny and quite photogenic.  One of these days I might get a better telephoto lens so I can capture more animals doing their own things all natural-like and wild.

I really enjoy taking pictures of dogs in motion.  Anything in motion is fun.  But dogs–well their ears and jowls flap in the created breeze.  It’s quite comical.  Here are some pictures of what I’m talking about.  This was from a dryland sled dog race in Grayling, MI.

Michigan Pet PhotographyIt’s fun to shoot dogs, but I will capture any animal you want pictures of (within reason), as long as it’s yours or you have permission from the owner.  One of the things I can do for the Animal Photography is let you get in the shot with your animal(s).  So if you want shots of your animals and with your animals, hire me.  ; )  Here’s a few shots of my nephews out playing last summer.  And my grandson: Steve the Cat.

The dogs’ names are Lexi and Leo.  Leo loves to play soccer.  He actually kicks the ball with his feet.  Anyway, I believe in candid shots of your pet playing.  Portraits are fine sometimes, but for the most part I like to capture the spontaneous moments in your pets and your lives.  Go ahead and text 517-898-5682 or contact me to find out prices and set up a session.
